Queen Victoria Fund Reading (QVFR) is a local grant making charity that prioritises public health initiatives including action on health inequity.
This might include perinatal inequalities, positive action on obesity and weight loss, alcohol misuse, children’s nourishment and child socialisation. We will also consider funding initiatives which address mental health issues, including clinical depression and certain forms of addictive behaviours such as gambling.
QVFR can assist with making social prevention programmes more accessible in communities and neighbourhoods by providing local venues and professional services.
Applications for funding are welcome three times a year.
The application stage for the third round for 2026 is now open! Deadline for applications is 9th October 2026
